6 month stats...

I just realized that I forgot to post Holland girl's 6 month stats. She turned 6 months on 8/12/2009. I know I will want these on record some day...

Weight - 14lbs 6oz - 20th Percentile
Height - 26" - 70th Percentile
Head - 16 3/4" - 45th Percentile

She has stayed about the same percentages since birth, tall and skinny - just like "Rafi" :)

Some things about Holland at 6 months -

1. She can get into a sitting position on her own, and loves to sit in the front room playing with her toys.

2. She loves seeing herself in the mirror.

3. She LOVES food. Especially Mangoes (real, not jar), pickles, soft serve, cheerios and orange rolls (according to Megan).

4. She is the happiest baby in the world right when she wakes up and greets us with a smile every time.

5. She loves to sleep. Takes 2-3 naps a day, and sleeps at least 12 hours at night.

6. She leaves her hairbows on her head - thank goodness for this one. I think she will love being a girl.

7. She loves to talk and babble all day.

8. She seems to prefer men to women. Her two favorites besides Daddy are Uncle Spencer and Uncle Jimmy.

9. She loves sitting and playing in the grass and would do this all day if we let her.

10. Her favorite movies are "Tinkerbell" and "Toy Story 2" and she laughs and smiles when either "Clank & Bauble" or "Buzz" come on screen.

11. She is still quite the snuggler and I LOVE it.

12. She is so close to crawling...I am sure it will make the list for her 7th month!

We love our Holland girl more than words can explain, and are so ecstatic she chose to be a part of our family. We would not trade being her parents for the world.

Lately....

Lately we have been working hard and playing hard. And now all I want to do is rest, relax and spend some time at home enjoying my family. Just thought I would share some recent pictures of the baben with you.

Holland being cute

We did a little (well a lot) of Fall shopping, this is one of her new hats (I think she looks like a little porcelein doll)...

While Fall shopping we found the perfect stuffed animal, a long skinny Zebra. However, I kept calling it a Giraffe (I think because it was so long and skinny), and now we call it "Rafi". Holland girl loves Rafi and snuggles right into him at bedtime and goes right to sleep.

Holland has learned to get into a sitting position all on her own. We find her most mornings sitting up in her crib talking to Rafi.
Look how prim and proper she looks...

We met up with the Meg's family, Mom and Spencer's family for a night last week. Spencer and Megan went on a swing ride with the kids and got into a silly teasing fight...same story 20 years later :)

Chloe & Madi ready for the ride to start...

Spencer's scary face...

Cute Chloe...

Madi showing me what is happening...(love these guys)

Another trip to Lagoon Monday night for Madi's birthday...

And finally cute Holland girl this morning, smiling through being sick. What a good baby. I am so in love.

What we have been up to lately...

Holland and I have being doing a lot of this...

Just hanging out together and having fun. Her favorite thing to do is to lay with me in bed and watch cartoons. Her favorites are Tinkerbell, Meet The Robinsons and most especially Toy Story I & II. She laughs everytime Buzz Lightyear comes on screen. Below is Holland watching Tink in bed...

Holland has been trying a lot of new foods lately, and loving them all. Her favorites are pickles and mango. (If you have never seen one of these and have a newborn...they are a must! It is a small fishnet bag attached to a ring your child can hold. You can shove fruit, bread, etc. in the bag and your child can suck on it without swallowing any big chunks)

Holland got her new highchair and is loving it. We let her watch tv while we feed her....are we starting a bad trend early or what??

Holland girl loves to sleep and will do it just about anywhere....

Spencer came to visit...he does not like it when we feed Holland while he is holding her :)

Holland LOVES being outside and especially loves the grass...

She is this close to crawling...

D and I babysat Meg & Jimmy's kids on Friday night. So it was me, D, Holland girl, Madi, Noah, Cooper and Huddy all braving Lagoon together. We had a fun night. D took the kids on the log ride while I waited with the babies.

Holland girl waiting for the log ride...she loves putting things in her mouth like most babies...

And one more I Holland girl...I love this pic, I think her eyes are amazing...
