My gorgeous Baby Girl Ireland

Just wanted to share some pics that I have from the last couple of months.  I am obsessed with this sweet baby girl. She is so peaceful and happy, and I am SO beyond lucky to be her mom.

Ireland ay 4 months

We took Ireland in for her 4 month check up today. Everyone who sees Ireland comments on how chubby she is, and how much bigger than H was at this age. I have to say, I have always agreed with them. However, when we went in for her appt today...here were her stats in comparison to H's 4 month stats:
Ireland Holland
Weight 13 lbs - 53% Weight - 12 lbs
Height - 24 in - 36% Height - 25 in.
Head - 16 in - 38% Head - 16 in

Ireland only weighs 1lb more than H at this age, can you believe it?? I can't. Then I started reading what I wrote about Holland and what she was doing at this age, and it is like I was reading a paragraph about Ireland. This is what I wrote about H:

She definitely takes after her Mommy in the height department and Daddy in the weight...let's hope it stays that way :) What a lucky girl she will be. She has started rolling over from her back to her tummy - but not the other way around just yet (Ireland does this too). She copies us - as evidenced below. She loves watching cartoons like Baby Einstein, Kung Fu Panda, Yo Gabba Gabba....well I won't lie she just loves tv in general. She hates her carseat, but loves her stroller (Ireland actually loves both). She LOVES nothing more than being outside - whether we are going for walks, swimming or playing in the grass (As evidenced by the picture below where she took a nap on the front lawn :)). She goes to sleep the best for Mommy at night (which frustrates Daddy - Ireland too!!), and loves snuggling in the morning (Yep, we have snuggly babies). When you walk into her room in the morning, she is never crying, just laying there grinning waiting for someone to get her - and a big smile hits her face when she hears our voices (Again, Ireland wakes up this same way and I love it). She loves it when you hold her in a standing position and just let her stay that way - I think it makes her feel like a big girl. She loves when you sing to her and will smile through any song. She is amazing and I love her more and more every day.

I would write something more about Ireland, but that paragraph about sums it up. We love having her in our family, and H is loving having a "sissa bug" as she calls her.

Easter 2011

We had such a great day yesterday. We woke up to some treats for the girls from the Easter Bunny. H was so excited about every little thing that was in her basket. Let me just tell you, if you want a good reaction, she is the one to give something to. Whether it is a penny for her piggy bank, a treat or even walking in the front door and giving her a hug. Love her. After that, D and H had donuts for breakfast and then we did an egg hunt in the backyard. After naps, we spent the afternoon at Lagoon taking H on rides. Then we came home to yummy pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. It was such a nice day spent with my amazing little family.

Dancing Queen

If there is one thing you should know about Holland is that girl can really get down! She loves dancing, or "shake her booty" as she calls it, more than anything. She is constantly bringing us the I-phone's and asking for music. Grandpa caught her in action this weekend.

Rafi

As you all know, H takes her rafi EVERYWHERE and cannot sleep without her Rafi's. He is definitely a staple in this house.

Valentine's Day 2011

Valentine's Day was amazing this year as always. Growing up, Valentine's Day was so much fun. My parents started a tradition called the Valentine's Fairy. All day long the "fairy" would ding dong ditch our house and leave little treats/Valentines at the door for the kids. We would be so excited each and every time the doorbell would ring. This was Holland's first year that the fairy visited, and she fell in love!! You could hear her screams down the street each time she would open the front door and see a treat sitting there waiting for her. It was such a joy to watch. Darren had never heard of a "Valentine Fairy" before...but he fell in love with the idea after seeing H's face all night long. The fairy started off the day, by heart-attacking the house, and H's bedroom door. When she woke up from her nap and saw all of the hearts, she about died. Then she ran around the whole house pointing out all of the other hearts to me all day long. It is so much fun to have kids to continue traditions with.

My Valentine's

H2....woah

Holland turned 2 this past weekend. I cannot believe that my little girl is already two years old. Time really flies when you have kids. We woke up and sang happy birthday and ate cookies for breakfast. Then we headed down to Megan's house, where h was showered with love. Megan made her the CUTEST cookies bouquet, had balloons and H got to open some presents from Grandma and Meg's family. After that we (Me, H, Madi, Grandma, Meg and Malone) went to Color Me Mine and let the girls paint some pottery. I enlisted the artistry skills of Megan and Grandma to make "special" plates for my girls. Then we went home a little while later and had dinner and cake with Daddy and then watched Despicable Me until way too late. H had such a great day. It was very low key, but so much fun.
